These chef bases feature a factory-engineered, self-contained capillary tube system utilizing the environmentally friendly R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant, that has zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and a 0.02 global warming potential (GWP). The inclusion of an oversized evaporator coil, coupled with a high-performance compressor and expansive condenser, maintains cabinet temperatures between 33°F to 38°F (0.5°C to 3.3°C), delivering optimal food preservation.
The unit's top, constructed as a single, reinforced piece of heavy-duty stainless steel, includes a drip-resistant "V" edge, providing protection against spills. With a load-bearing capacity of up to 1084 lbs. (492 kg), the chef base features an all-stainless steel front, top, and sides, complemented by a corrosion-resistant GalFan-coated steel back.
Each drawer accommodates two full-size 12"L x 20"W x 4"D (305 mm x 508 mm x 102 mm) food pans (sold separately) and operates on heavy-duty stainless steel slides and rollers. The drawers are easily removable without the need for tools, ensuring effortless cleaning. The high-density, polyurethane insulation, foamed in place, underscores sustainability with zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and zero global warming potential (GWP).
